In July 2020 currENT became a signatory to Renewable Grid Initiative’s the ‘Request to Adapt European Energy Planning Scenarios’, calling for more ambitious energy planning. 

On signing the Declaration currENT Chair, Susanne Nies, expressed “Our vision at currENT is a European power network that is a recognised world leader in enabling decarbonisation through the efficient use of modern grid technology. As the Chair of currENT, I full support the RGI claim for an ambitious scenario in line with COP21.“
